I am feeling SUPER emotional about my first newborn growing up. It’s a very bittersweet moment. My daughter was born with the most unique looking hair. Emma’s blonde fuzzy hair stuck STRAIGHT UP from the first moment after her bath and didn’t lay down again until she was several months old.
I took this photo of my daughter 11 years ago at the beginning of my career focusing on newborns.
My photography style and technique has changed a bit over the years but my love for photographing newborns has not. So many of my clients call me the newborn whisperer and it’s a compliment that never gets old. I take pride in my work and the knowledge that I have acquired over the past 11 years.
ABOUT ME
My career first started out photographing the newborns at Mercy and Methodist hospitals for Bella Baby Photography. During my time at the hospital I learned so much. I truly saw and experienced every situation you can imagine. It was then after years of photographing for Bella I knew I wanted newborns to be my sole focus, so I dove deep into education. I purchased online workshops focusing only on newborns. Attended local photography conferences and masterminds. Educating myself is super important to me and is always something I work on.
