Mom, Dad and Baby | Des Moines Newborn Photographer

This newborn session was photographed entirely with Mom and Dad. I absolutely love photographing newborns solely on the beanbag but there is something so special about a lifestyle session. The baby is so comfortable because he is constantly being held by Mom and Dad which keeps him so happy. Larsyn was 4 weeks old and was a dream come true.

Not only was this baby boy the absolute cutest with his brown hair and soft features but mom dressed him in the CUTEST grey and white checkered onsie. It paired so well with their earth-toned shirts. I love how the outfit will made him pop off of the screen and not blend in so much.

Getting these detail shots are so special with Dad because you get to see how tiny their features are compared to Dad. For example the picture below of Dad kissing those tiny newborn fingers could be one of my favorite pictures.

Although I did love this outfit so much, I do start every session with the newborn in just his diaper. That way we can try to see all of his rolls too.

These images allow for classic images. Nothing too distracting. Keeps your images simple and timeless. My absolute favorite for images with Mom and baby.

I think we can tell where baby gets his beautiful, long eyelashes from.

Although newborn lifestyle sessions are typically done in my client’s home, I do understand that not everyone may feel comfortable bringing someone into their home just days after delivery. Which is why I offer a lifestyle session at the studio in West Des Moines. With a simple white wall and baby being photographed entirely in Mom and Dad’s arms.
